Our client, a well-established and respected auto workshop where real mechanics thrive, no nonsense, no drama, just proper work done right, is looking for a Red Seal Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician to join the team. To apply, you’ll need a minimum of 3 years of post qualification experience in an RMI-approved environment (such as Bosch, CarTime, etc.), along with a strong background in old-school mechanical repair, including stripping, assembling, and rebuilding engines, gearboxes, and more. You must be able to fault-find and diagnose accurately and effectively (this is very important), possess exceptional diagnostic system knowledge, and be comfortable working on all makes and models from classics to modern vehicles, including EVs. This role is for a Technician with a true love for hands-on mechanical work, real problem-solving skills, a disciplined work ethic, technical sharpness to get things right the first time, and who wants to work in an environment focused solely on fixing vehicles.

Job Requirements

Red Seal Motor Mechanics Certificate (Fully Qualified)

A valid Drivers License and own transport

3 years of RECENT Motor Vehicle Technician experience in an RMI-approved workshop

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Well-groomed and presented

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Possess exceptional diagnostic system knowledge

Comfortable working on all makes and models from classics to modern vehicles, including EVs

Have a clear understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and professional etiquette expected of a Technician
