We’re looking for an energetic Junior IT Field Technician who’s ready to make themselves indispensable, roll up their sleeves, and keep a large motor group running smoothly. In this role, you’ll be the first line of defence when tech issues strike, making sure desktops, laptops, and devices stay in top shape. Your day-to-day will include everything from setting up emails and logins to fixing glitches, installing and configuring network devices like routers, switches, and access points, handling occasional TV and alarm installations, repairing or replacing faulty hardware, and providing both hands-on and remote support to clients, take charge of documenting your work, actively managing IT assets across the group, and staying on top of the latest technologies and best practices, all while keeping things ticking behind the scenes. To apply, you’ll need at least 2 years of experience as a Field Technician or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. You should be confident using network troubleshooting tools, and experience with Unifi networks will give you an edge. Familiarity with Ajax and Hikvision AXPro and the ability to install and maintain CCTV systems (Hikvision) are advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with a team-first attitude and the willingness to tackle the “grunt work” that keeps things moving. You’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple tasks with ease, and hold a valid driver’s license for site visits when required.

Job Requirements.
Matric Certificate

IT Qualification (Advantageous)
A valid Drivers License

2 years of experience as a Field Technician or in a similar role
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues

Experience with network troubleshooting tools and software

Experience with Unifi networks.

Experience with Ajax and Hikvision AXPro (Beneficial)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Fluent in English & Afrikaans, both verbal and written
