If you enjoy working on big vehicles and take pride in keeping them running safely and smoothly, this might be just the job for you. One of South Africa’s best-known long-distance bus companies is looking for a Qualified Auto Electrician to join their team. They run a large fleet of modern buses that travel all over the country every day and need someone who can help keep those buses in top shape. To apply, you’ll need a completed Auto Electrical qualification and at least 2 years of experience working on heavy vehicles (Experience with Volvo trucks or buses is a big advantage). You should be confident in finding and fixing electrical faults and enjoy working as part of a team. In this role, you’ll be working on heavy-duty buses, doing electrical repairs, general maintenance and diagnostics. You’ll work with a friendly workshop team to make sure the buses are always safe, reliable and ready for the road. This includes fixing wiring, lighting, control systems and other electrical components, and making sure all vehicles stay roadworthy and meet all safety standards.
Job Requirements
A valid Drivers License (Code B & C)
Auto Electrician Certificate (Fully Qualified)
At least 2 years of RECENT post qualification experience in a reputable workshop
Experience with Volvo trucks or buses is a big advantage
Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
Fully Computer Literate
Solid Auto Electrical Product Knowledge
Analytical & problem-solving skills
A solid track record
A stable and gapless work history
