A well-established and extremely busy autobody repair shop is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Workshop Foreman to head their team. As a key figure in the workshop, you will take responsibility for maintaining high production standards, ensuring first-time fixes, and delivering exceptional customer service, all while providing accurate reporting and leading your team with confidence, efficiency, and professionalism To apply for this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Foreman or Team Leader in a franchised motor dealership or recognised auto body repair shop, a solid understanding of general automotive technology, particularly within the body repair industry, a strong knowledge of structural repair processes, the ability to communicate technical terminology clearly and effectively, and confidence in using social media platforms for professional communication This is a high-pressure environment, so the ability to cope with pressure and setbacks while continuing to deliver results is also vital. We are looking for someone who is not just skilled with a spanner, but also a natural leader who can motivate, manage, and support their team while ensuring the smooth running of workshop operations.
Job Requirements
Motor Mechanics Certificate
A valid Drivers License
3 years of Foreman/Team Leader experience in a motor dealership or a recognised auto body repair shop.
Excellent communication skills in both English & Afrikaans
Strong knowledge of structural repair processes
Ability to cope with Pressure & Setbacks
Good problem-solving skills
Computer Literate and the ability to learn PC programs quickly
A stable work history
Reliable and contactable references
